Hot Snakes: Rick Fork (vocals); John Reis (guitar, organ); Jason Kourkounis (drums).Former Drive Like Jehu members Rick Froberg and John Reis (also a member of Rocket From the Crypt) and drummer Jason Kourkounis of Delta 72 shred rock & roll to pieces on the Hot Snakes debut. Automatic Midnight, an album full of noisy guitar and dominating rhythms, hardcore thrash, and Swervedriver atmosphere, starts off with the charged-up, frenetic live wire that is "If Credit's What Matters I'll Take Credit." Throughout the rest of the rapid-fire record, Hot Snakes go from the dark, showdown sound of "10th Planet" to the slightly Sonic Youth-circa-Daydream Nation grind of "Light Up the Stars" and on through the chant-along anthem "Our Work Fills the Pews." The album finishes off with "Let It Come," a hard/soft dynamic, shout-and-holler ride that would fit well alongside At the Drive-In. Always intense, always destructive, the Hot Snakes, like Black Flag, play their rock & roll all-out with their sights set on anything or anyone in their path. ~ Charles Spano

What vintage cartoon is this?
I remember it started out with two couples who were poor, but entered a futuristic city with everything robotic and automated. The couple enter the city and split off to dress nice. The man walks on an automatic makeover, with new clothes and robots doing his haircut. For the woman, she has a new hair do and i think it is even dyed. Somewhere in the middle they get a fruit smoothie and leave town in a car.
This was most likely from the 30's or 40's, black and white i'm pretty sure.
It's a 1939 cartoon called "All's Fair at the Fair," based on the 1939 World's Fair.
It was made by the Fleischer Studio (Popeye) and produced by Paramount. It was animated in Florida as part of the 'Color Classics' series. It's public domain (not copyrighted) so it shows up on a lot of DVDs.

Cashing in on director Larry Hagman's fame as star of Dallas, a canny distributor reissued Beware! the Blob (aka Son of Blob) with the come-on line "The Film That J.R. Shot!" Picking up where the original Blob (1958) left off, the film begins as the pudding-like goo thaws out and begins wreaking havoc on the civilized world. Steve McQueen, star of the first Blob, is understandably absent; this time the heroics are handled by Robert Walker Jr., who takes on the Blob himself when the local authorities fail. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
In his first starring role, Steve McQueen plays a typical oversexed, car-lovin' highschooler who can't get anyone to believe his story about a huge meteor, which crashes to earth and begins exuding a pink, gooey substance. Affixing itself to the body of an old man, the "blob" begins parasitically sucking the life out of several unfortunate humans, growing to an enormous size. Problem is, the disappearances of the victims can all be explained (one is supposed to be out of town, another is attending a convention), so the cops still won't believe McQueen or his girlfriend Aneta Corsaut (the future Helen Crump of The Andy Griffith Show). Rallying his teen pals, McQueen finally manages to get the adults' attention-but by now, the Blob is consuming entire city blocks. In 1972, the sequel Beware the Blob followed. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

After the phenomenal box-office and critical success of David Cronenberg's 1986 remake of The Fly, a series of big-budget remakes of '50s horror favorites rode in on its coattails in the late 1980s -- though none managed to rise above mere camp clones of their elders, albeit garnished with modern makeup effects in an attempt to draw modern teen horror-junkies. One remake that managed to live up to its cheesy inspiration was Chuck Russell's version of The Blob, in which the title goo crashes to earth and promptly begins digesting the residents of a small California town while growing to gargantuan proportions. The clean-cut teen hero originally portrayed by Steve McQueen (his first starring role) is replaced here with a rebellious outsider (Kevin Dillon) whose preppie rival (Donovan Leitch) for the affections of the cute heroine (Shawnee Smith) is quickly eliminated by the all-consuming space-gelatin. No sooner has the plasma menace set up house in the town sewers when a shadowy government Blob Squad shows up under the direction of the grandfatherly Dr. Meddows (Joe Seneca), to clean up the mess... or not. This high-spirited remake replaces the '50s "Daddy-O" conventions of the original with '80s cynicism -- not even likeable characters are spared from the slaughter -- and anti-government sentiment. It also pushes the gore envelope in ways unavailable to its low-budget parent -- e.g. the scene in which one victim is sucked through a sink drain was only hinted at in the 1958 film, but here viewers are treated to the entire bone-crunching ordeal. Though the quality of blob effects seems inversely proportional to the creature's size (some of the climactic "wall-of-blob" footage is painfully cheap-looking), the end result is more blob for the monster-movie fan's dollar. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

Robotic Floor Help me write my song lyrics please?
Hello, I have to write song lyrics for a English assignment and i'm a bit stuck. The music genre im writing for is Pop, Dance and Techno. The bands name is Robotic. This is what I have so far, I've never written a song before so sorry if it sucks.
Push your way through the crowd,
Straight to the dance floor
Throw your hands in the air
Here we go
Dancing at the disco
Chorus:
We gonna rock it coz that’s what we’re here for
Everybody’s jumping up and down
Lost in the crowd
Crammed but you don’t seem to care
Just keep dancing
Dancing at the disco x2
Help me please!
Firstly, this is an odd English assignment, especially because you're using words like "coz" and poor grammar like "We gonna rock it." Anyway though, it sounds good to me for the genre you're going for!
