Robot Vacuum Thinking of buying a Romba I-robot electric Vacuum. They have been out for awhile now are they any good?
ours works very well.
we have had to take it in once, as it kept circling on the spot - one of the bump sensors was being constantly nudged by something stuck in it or something like that. they fixed him up and sent him back.
ours is scheduled to start vacuuming on friday afternoons - so we come home to clean floors for the weekend. it's on less chore.
although, it's not really a vacuum - it's just a brush system.
they do need a bit of attention. you are supposed to clean them after every vacuum and use compressed air to keep the sensors cleaned, but even still, it's not too much hassle.
i have seen other 'robot' vacuum cleaners. so if you weren't prepared to spend the money on a Roomba, maybe you could go with another company?
Get your floors cleaned for you with this iRobot Roomba 770 vacuum cleaning robot that features a 3-stage cleaning system and Dirt Detect sensors to remove debris from carpets and bare floors. On-board scheduling lets you program automatic cleanings.
Your cleaning routine is made easy with this iRobot Scooba 390 S390020 vacuum cleaning robot that features a 4-stage cleaning system to thoroughly scrub floors and squeegee dirt and germs away. Sensors ensure that every section of floor is cleaned.
Sit back and let Roomba take care of the vacuuming for you. This robotic bagless vacuum cleaner features an on-board scheduling system that can accommodate up to 7 cleaning times per week, and can clean up to 4 rooms on a single charge.

Neato xv-11 robot vacuum cleaner
Can any of the iRobot Roomba work on normal carpet?
I've seen the robot vacuum cleaners before (iRobot Roomba) and they seem really cool. But in reading about them, it seems like the mostly work on bare floor or super short carpet. Are there any models that work with normal medium length carpet?
I have a Roomba Discovery and it cleans my medium pile carpet wonderfully! None of the Roomba vacuums are recommended for shag carpet or fringe rugs. You also must move wires and cords, just like with a regular vacuum. To get the best cleaning possible from your Roomba you should clean the brushes regularly. Most of the Roomba models now come with a brush cleaner, but if your doesn't, you can order one for less than $5.00. If you have pets I would recommend the Roomba Discovery for Pets. You are correct...they are really cool! My Roomba and Scooba(the robot that mops) are the BEST house cleaning products that I have ever owned..

Scooba Robot vs Maltese Dogs
Does anyone have the i Robot scooba ?
I want to get the new i Robot scooba but don't want to waste that kind of money if it dosen't work . Soooo Does it really work and is it worth your money ?
I need to know about the scooba floor mopping one not the vaccum . Thanks
I have a Scooba and I love it! Before I got a Scooba I had to mop my kitchen floor every other day, it took forever. Now I just turn my Scooba on before I leave for the gym and I come home to a clean, dry kitchen floor. The Scooba comes with a 1yr. warranty, and the IRobot customer and tech. support is excellent. The trouble shooting website is great. If you have a problem within the warranty period that can not be fixed, IRobot will send you a NEW (not rebuilt) Scooba as an in warranty replacement.
Please note: If you buy a Scooba, you have to use the floor cleaner made for the Scooba or you will void your warranty. You can get the cleaner at Target or on-line at IRobot.com. The cleaner is not expensive at all.
robots vacuum What is the best Irobot Vacuum cleaner for a carpeted house and heavy dog fur?
It is a Yellow lab and the house carpet consist of dark carpets so needless to say even the slightest hair shows up, i am looking for the vacuum as a christmas present for my parents my price range is $400 or less I am just unsure of which I robot model to get.
You might be expecting too much from a robot vacuum. Better to help vacuum the house instead.

The '80s had GRACELAND, the '90s had Rusted Root, and the new millennium had Vampire Weekend, so at this point it should be no surprise when North American pop music embraces South African sensibilities. However, with BLK JKS' highly hyped debut, Afro-pop is presented in a different light. Instead of being a U.S.-minded album created with the help of African musicians, it's one created by African musicians. Instead of being a watered-down white take on tribal beats, it's a reversal: Africans staking their claim on indie rock. Like Mars Volta and TV on the Radio, the songs on BLK JKS' debut, AFTER ROBOTS, are made up of shifting soundcapes rather than a linear progression. More often than not, these reverberated parts (enhanced by producer Brandon Curtis) whirlwind away into a free-form jam full of horn blasts provided by Hypnotic Brass Ensemble or circular Santana-esque guitar runs. They fit into the indie rock genre about as loosely as Bad Brains fit the hardcore punk stereotype or Living Colour fit in the hair metal mold. Who cares? Pigeonholing is futile, this is simply solid music.
Includes:Supersonic Man (1978), MPAA Rating: PG War of the Robots (1978) Supersonic Man Spanish director Juan Piquer Simon (Pieces) took elements of current box-office hits like Superman and Star Wars and came up with this campy adventure-fantasy. Michael Coby is Kronos, a strange visitor from another planet who, disguised as a mild-mannered private eye, fights crazed mad scientist Dr. Gulk (Cameron Mitchell) and flirts with Lois Lane-manque Diana Polakow. Much of the film resembles those old Mexican wrestling movies, with some mildly impressive special effects to spruce it up. It's not really campy enough to be fun, but there is enough action to keep kids and undemanding genre fans interested. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi War of the Robots In this sci-fi adventure, two of Earth's brightest scientists find themselves abducted by aliens, desperate to save their world from certain death. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Two beautiful sisters become mechanized killing machines in this over-the-top Japanese horror-comedy. Yoshie (Aya Kiguchi) is a lovely but shy girl who has spent all her life playing second fiddle to her big sister Kikue (Hitomi Hasebe). Kikue has become the most popular hostess at a local geisha house, while Yoshie is stuck doing the cleaning and suffering unflattering comparisons to her sister. Both Yoshie and Kikue fall under the sway of Hikaru Kageno (Saitoh Takumi), heir to a valuable metal foundry who has developed an insane but ingenious secret plan to turn geishas into high-tech robotic assassins in a bid to take over the world. The sisters leave a bloody trail in their wake as they do Kageno's bidding, but the long-simmering rivalry between the sisters comes to a boil when Yoshie refuses to kill a handful of senior citizens and turns on her master, as well as her sister who remains loyal to Kageno. RoboGeisha was directed by Noboru Iguchi, who previously pondered the plight of females turned into robots in 2008's The Mechanical Girl. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

buy robotic vacuum Those of you who don't live with your parents, would you buy a roomba?
If the price was reasonable, would you buy a roomba robotic vacuum?
I'm considering it b/c I live with two guys who aren't clean people. One works in a stable with horses and brings home alot of straw and dirt and the other works 12-15 hours a day, and doesn't clean up after himself besides doing dishes and laundry once in a while.
I don't mind being the person who has to clean alot of the time, but I do hate vacuuming.
Under circumstances like that would you buy one? I'm leaning towards yes.
I've owned a roomba and gave roomba as present to all my family member however I've discovered that after about 2 years it breaks down. also roomba works well on hard floors but not so well on carpet. over the years I've purchased 4 roomba and taken excellent care of it. They all broke down in about 2 years. If you don't mind buying a new roomba every couple years it's great. but if your not into spending that kinda money I don't recomend it.p.s. keep in mind you also need to clean it regularly(cleaning the laser sensor areas with q-tip. etc.
This robotic vacuum cleaner features powerful suction to remove debris from carpet and hardwood floors and a laser navigation system to ensure thorough cleaning.
