What is something that I could get for my mom to help her do household stuff (specifically mopping)?
I wanted to get my mom something that would help her do some household stuff, and I thought what about something to help her mop? She has like no time to mop, I would help but I have little time as well. I WAS thinking of the Scooba, but it's far too expensive and not for a house, but rather a dorm. My budget it ~150 dollars, any ideas?
I am a mom and I own the Shark. It works great. You wouldn't believe how easy to use it is or how quickly the floor dries.
Also, If you are into green living like I am, it uses no chemicals. That means that no harmful VOCs are being inhaled while using various cleaners. Of course it does use electricity, so a power source is needed. A bonus is that it uses far less water than would be needed to get the same, near perfect clean, from a mop and bucket.
I recommend giving it a try. I just purchased the upgraded version with the hand pump for my in-law; she loves it.
The shark is fairly affordable and would you leave you with some cash to get her something else. Maybe something that does not reinforce the "cleaner" approach. Maybe - Something more personal.
