Wow, I think people are blinded by your term "robot." Exchange that with any other being or creation that follows without thinking, his/her supreme ruler and it's the same basic idea.
I think you make an excellent analogy. It doesn't make sense that god would want his/her followers to be mindless and uncritical--that stifles self-fulfillment and knowledge.

buy robotic vacuum Those of you who don't live with your parents, would you buy a roomba?
If the price was reasonable, would you buy a roomba robotic vacuum?
I'm considering it b/c I live with two guys who aren't clean people. One works in a stable with horses and brings home alot of straw and dirt and the other works 12-15 hours a day, and doesn't clean up after himself besides doing dishes and laundry once in a while.
I don't mind being the person who has to clean alot of the time, but I do hate vacuuming.
Under circumstances like that would you buy one? I'm leaning towards yes.
I've owned a roomba and gave roomba as present to all my family member however I've discovered that after about 2 years it breaks down. also roomba works well on hard floors but not so well on carpet. over the years I've purchased 4 roomba and taken excellent care of it. They all broke down in about 2 years. If you don't mind buying a new roomba every couple years it's great. but if your not into spending that kinda money I don't recomend it.p.s. keep in mind you also need to clean it regularly(cleaning the laser sensor areas with q-tip. etc.

i have a 1998 mazda 626 4 cylinder automatic and i found i had a vacuum leak.i removed the air filter so i could see more and found a hose that was only connected at one end at the transmission but the other end was free.can anyone tell me where the hose goes?
that depend on what that hose was connected to . it could be a vent keeping the end of that hose above a certain level will minimize the potential for contamination in the fluid in that atf.

When I remove vacuum line from carburetor, the engine idle stays the same. Isn't idle suppose to increase?
I have a '72 GMC Custom-1500, 350 engine/4 bbl Quadrajet 4MV, and an automatic transmission. I replaced points distributor with a HEI distributor. I don't believe advance is working. How can I check it without any special tools? Also, when I remove vacuum advance hose from carburetor, the engine idle doesn't change. Isn't idle suppose to increase or something?
There are two different kinds of vacuum ported and manifold. You vac advance is connected to the ported vacuum. There are two differences between these vacuum sources. Ported vacuum doesn't start until the carb plates uncover the port while manifold vacuum is constant. The other difference is that ported vacuum increase as the RPMs go up and manifold vacuum decreases. So, no you won’t see an idle change when you disconnect your advance, and no you won’t see it come on as your engine will not pull enough vacuum to pull the advance until it is under load. If you think that your advance is not working you can do the old mouth test, pull the cap and suck on the hose (or connect it to a vacuum source) the advance should move.

The cheap ones don't have as much suction but you end up having to clean a little no matter what you buy. The robotic vacuums just help out and keep it to a minimum. I think that robot vacuums aren't real good on carpet either, just hard floors. For good suction you need to spend some bucks. Check Amazon.com for reviews. >
