Assault and Battery is a collection of highlights from the group's recordings between 1988 and 1993. Although there are some good moments on the record, much of it is simply average thrash, with the later material suggesting that the group has run out of energy and ideas. Still, it's a good way to pick up the best material from some of their lesser albums. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Some young people lost in the woods pick the wrong cabin while looking for help in this story of horror and suspense. Jeremiah (Rodger Hewlett) was raised by his mother (Tracy Scoggins), a woman with a paranoid fear of strangers and outsiders, in a small cabin in a remote woodland community. Mother's fears became all too real one day when an intruder broke into her home, raping and murdering her as Jeremiah looked on. Since then, Jeremiah, deeply disturbed, has never left the house and has had almost no contact with the outside world. A group of college students led by Lehman (Mario Lopez) set out on a weekend of hiking and camping when they encounter a few rather eccentric locals, and before long they find themselves lost. They discover a small cabin in the woods, and decide to take a look inside, where they discover Jeremiah -- and find he doesn't take kindly to strangers. Crack in the Floor also features Gary Busey, Rance Howard, Bo Hopkins, and David Naughton. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Recorded in about two weeks and produced by Epitaph mastermind Brett Gurewitz, Four on the Floor found Dag Nasty drawing from their influential past to give die-hard fans an updated taste of the positive-minded punk they spearheaded in the '80s alongside fellow Dischord bands Minor Threat, Soulside, and Fugazi, to name a few. The album's liner notes referenced the fact that this was a one-off, semi-coincidental occurrence, and this spontaneous resurrection captured the early fun and fury of Dag Nasty in their glory. Key members Dave Smalley, Colin Sears, and Roger Maybury lent authenticity to the effort, and due to his contract while in Junkyard, Brian Baker could not use his real name during this "reunion" record. Humorously he went under the pseudonym "Dale Nixon," but make no mistake about it - that is Baker playing guitar on this record. Gurewitz's production sometimes fell short of representing Dag Nasty's true musical voice, occasionally sounding a bit thin for hardcore. But on tracks like "Million Days" and "S.F.S.," Dag Nasty managed to recapture their original musical intensity and simultaneously spotlighted Dave Smalley's continued growth as a writer. "We Went Wrong" revisited staple Dag Nasty themes of frustration and betrayed trust, and sounded as aggressive and fresh as any of their early work. The spirit of spontaneity showed through on the speedy but ultimately goofy "Roger," and the raucous cover of the U.K. Subs' classic "Lie Down and Die" paid respect to their punk influences. Four on the Floor wasn't necessarily essential for casual fans of the genre, but it definitely provided Dag Nasty diehards with a revisited but worthy glimpse into their short-lived but fiery career. ~ Paul Henderson

I don't want to buy it if it does a bad job. How often do you have to refill and empty the water? It looks so small... Thanks!
One of my friends has one and it does not work very good. It takes quite a while to clean an average size floor and there are always touch-ups that need to be done.
I have the h2o steam mop and recommend steam cleaning to anyone who asks. I've heard the Hoover steamer is also very good. There's no chemicals to buy, no streaking, no residue and it's almost effortless.
although this question is a few days too late... we just ordered a roomba 560 from HSN.com, and am curioius about how reliable they are when put into a daily use work cycle on hardwood floors.
Our dog is a 130 pound great pyrenees and sheds a lot, and it gets exhausting trying to keep up with the "cody puffs" that float around on the floor. Upright vacs tend to blow them around, our dustbuster battery is dying after several months of daily use, so the roomba has been a last resort to keep the fur under control.
Is a daily work cycle too much for the roomba to handle? We got an extended warranty on it, but I expect we'll be replacing the battery and corner brushes fairly frequently.
My wife's parents have hardwood floors, and a Roomba. They love it.

im from bc and been to so cal many times , i ve seen picts of catalina and on tv and it looks gorgeous like simular to mexico or something, have you been whats to do there? also do u know the prices for scooba diving, and river rafting i cant find it anywhere thanks
Also whats the wheather like in the beggining of june june 5th to be exact? too hot you cant breath too crowed? too smoggy just right?
Usually the beginning of June is foggy in the morning then foggy again in the late afternoon.
I went to Catalina in February and thought it was crazy busy, but then when the cruise ship that was in port left everything closed and the streets were deserted. I wouldn't compare Catalina to Mexico at all. Catalina is pretty sleepy.
The weather in February was pretty warm, dry and sunny. By the time we hiked up to the Wrigley Memorial and back we were pretty sweaty. You can rent a golf cart for $30 an hour, but I was with people that love to hike so that's what we did.
There isn't a river in Catalina although you can kayak on the ocean. The websites below are for SCUBA and kayaking in Catalina. You need to be SCUBA certified.
Would I go back to Catalina? Only if somebody else bought my shuttle boat tickets. I'm glad I went, but I'm in no hurry to go back.

Filmed on location in South Carolina, The Price of Heaven represents one of the forays into the realm of made-for-TV movies by celebrated director Peter Bogdanovich. The story takes place in the early 1950s, as Korean war hero Jerry Shand (Grant Show) returns to his Southern hometown. Aspiring to medical school, Jerry lands a low-paying but steady job selling funeral insurance to the local black community. When ordered to collect back premium payments from the elderly and impoverished Vesta Battle (Cicely Tyson in a virtual reprise of her "Miss Jane Pittman" characterization), Jerry is prevented from doing so by his newly awakened compassion and social consciousness--thereby placing his job, and his entire future as a "good Southerner", in jeopardy. On a more personal level, Jerry is torn between love for his childhood sweetheart, whose family runs a local laundry, and lust for the predatory daughter of a wealthy cotton-mill owner (shades of Bette Davis!) Based on a novella by Allan Gurganus and first telecast over the CBS network on August 17, 1997, The Price of Heaven has since been shown on cable TV under the title Blessed Assurance. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

While most regular citizens view American POWs as nothing less than war heroes, many fail to realize that a good deal of former POWs view their capture as a personal failure, and silently carry that burden for years - and even decades - after returning home from the battlefield. In this award winning documentary, seven World War II veterans come together to share their stories and partake in a unique discussion designed to restore their shattered self esteem. Fifty years after defeating the enemy overseas, these veterans unite on their native soil to conquer one final foe. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

James Cagney signed on to play Captain Flagg in 20th Century Fox's 1952 remake of the 1926 classic What Price Glory after being told that the old property was being converted into a musical. By the time Cagney learned that Fox had no intention of adding songs and dances to the venerable Maxwell Anderson/Laurence Stallings stage piece, it was too late to pull out, so he decided to grin (sometimes) and bear it. Under the direction of John Ford, the potent anti-war message of the original play is blunted, while the drunken rowdiness of Capt. Flagg and his friendly enemy Sergeant Quirt (Dan Dailey) was played for all it was worth and then some. Much of the brawling is over the affections of vivacious barmaid Charmaine, played by Corinne Calvet. Contrasting the rough-hewn hijinks of Flagg, Quirt and their fellow Marines on the fields and in the villages of World War I-era France is the doomed romance between private Robert Wagner and French lass Marisa Pavan. (Why does Wagner get to sing, while Cagney and Dailey do not?) Barry Norton, who played Wagner's role in the original What Price Glory? appears in the remake as a priest. Norton is unbilled, as are such familiar faces as Harry Morgan, Paul Fix, Henry Kulky, and John Ford "regulars" Dan Borzage and Bill Henry. Falling well short of classic status, the Technicolor remake of What Price Glory? is kept alive by the marvelous roughneck rapport between James Cagney and Dan Dailey. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
